Weekend Writing Warriors
*Waving* Hey, it’s good to be back. I’ve missed everyone. What with the floods and the holiday, I’ve been gone way too long.
During my hiatus, other projects went on the back burner while I hustled to get one of my Eclipse titles a new cover, reformatted, and re-released in time for the Cowboy Candy sale— which I committed to in January when April sounded a long time away. (April 12-18, eight western romance authors offering eight hot cowboy stories for .99 each.) 😉
Wolf’s Tender is the first story in the McCallister Bounty Hunter trilogy. I haven’t yet mastered Create Space to produce a paperback copy, but the ebook is formatted, uploaded, and now available at most of the distros. Whew! What a ride.
For more book info, here’s a link to my Eclipse Heat page. And, here’s a snippet from Wolf’s Tender: McCallister Bounty Hunters Book One.
“You’re lucky you survived the raid; think about that instead of wallowing in guilt and let the law take care of the kids,” Charlie Wolf said in disgust.
He had a cigar, a bottle of good whiskey waiting for him, and moments before he’d thought that enough. The school teacher made him want more, which aggravated him.
“That half-full trough of hot water still has some steam coming from it and that’s the only thing on my mind right now,” he lied.
Awkwardly, the teacher fit her body to his—hip to hip, thigh to thigh, bosom to chest and he discovered a willowy armful with gentle curves, rather than the figure he’d previously judged too thin. Thinking about Miss Parker’s long, white legs riding his hips as he sank into her heat, Charlie had to stifle his groan.
“You trying to have your way with me?” he asked in disbelief.
“If that’s what it takes to get you to listen,” she answered primly.

Weekend Writing Warriors
Hi all. *Yawning* It’s an hour later this morning than my internal clock says it should be. Oh, well. Dare I whisper the word spring…?
While we all ponder the infinite possibilities in the weather, I’m sharing another snippet from Ursus Horribilis, my next self publishing adventure.
I’ll have to establish a strict routine for him; a schedule for therapy sessions. Nervously, Rhee prepared for the first visit with her patient.
She’d decided that she would consider herself his doctor, although, unlike Cousin Miz, she couldn’t lay hands on Shep’s skull and cure him of being fuddled.
She was a spirit weaver. Her healing skills were more nebulous. She snorted.
Nebulous, unclear, imprecise, vague—all words for the same thing. I’m a light weight witch with no real talent.

People are mean, life is hard, and then you die. Grab as much as you can on the way through. (The Rhee Hess mantra for survival.)
In case you haven’t read Book One and Two in the series:
