Hi everyone. Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
Today I’m sharing eight sentences from Cerise Amour, my Unlikely Gentlemen coming soon title.
“We were utterly selfish.”
“Granted, but then again, thanks to you kidnapping me, I’m alive instead of really dead. Do you have regrets?”
“No… but, I’m sure we’ve caused our friends and families great distress. How are we ever going to make them understand?”
“Never explain and never apologize,” he said, interrupting her angst abruptly. “We’re alive. They’ll rejoice at our return; you worry too much.”

He has a point.
Hm…I am so intrigued by the kidnapping.
He is right. It’s amazing what people are willing to forgive when they realize someone could have died, at least at first. It seems that right after the relief there’s usually anger. I love the title!
Loved this exchange and the words of wisdom!
I’m with him – she is worrying too much. Terrific dialog, great 8!
I think he underestimates their family’s responses. Great snippet, Gem. 🙂
I’m intrigued by the comment “I’m alive instead of really dead.” Nice snappy dialogue. I’m liking this guy.
They both make good points. Great dialogue.
Of course they’ll rejoice! And then they’ll start asking questions . . . 🙂
Great dialogue!
She kidnapped him? That’s different!
I’m sure he’s right, right? Fingers crossed. Loving the natural dialogue.
Intriguing, to say the least.
One never can predict how family will react. In fact we, count on it to drive a story right? This is going to get interesting once they get back!
The Murders of Polly Frisch
How did she manage to kidnap him : )
I love his caring explanation.
