Good morning.I’m sharing another snippet from Blood Stoned, today. This scene is from Hunter’s POV.
After Hunter arranged Maggie to his satisfaction, he lay down behind her and pulled a blanket over them.
“My dress is going to get wrinkled,” she murmured.
He laughed silently. Her dress was already wrinkled. But her observation gave him an excuse to strip her clothes from her and lay skin to skin.
By the time he was finished fussing, she slept. He cradled her in his arms, listening to her every breath, and licking the bite on her neck. After the mark was healed and not so much as a bruise marred her soft skin, Hunter let his own eyes drift shut.
Blood Stoned will be out soon. Meanwhile if you haven’t read Maggie and Hunter’s first adventure, Cat Nip is available now.
Synopsis:
They call her Jinx, an unlucky witch with a reputation for casting erratic spells. But there’s more to Maggie Jenks than meets the eye. She’s a vessel of unfulfilled potential, doing her best to sidestep evil as she uses her gifts for good.
Avoiding temptation gets trickier for the little witch who can heal others with the touch of her hand. A shape-changing predator has her in his sights, watching her days, protecting her nights, and stalking her dreams.
The cat is out of the bag and here…
