Hi everyone. This week I’m posting one last snippet from Hunter’s Pride, Jinx 2. Hope you enjoy.
Flexing his claws and purring as he listened to the little witch, Hunter peered at her from the limb where he perched above the chicken coop.
He’d been on watch all night, guarding her as she slept. Once he’d even chased off a badger that had come to steal a chicken.
“Come down from there now,” Maggie ordered him as her magic drifted upward, bathing him in orgasmic bliss. “You are not sleeping in that tree any more.”
Hunter didn’t expect her to understand yet, but sooner or later she’d know the truth—the bond between them wouldn’t go away just because she denied it.
“You make the chickens nervous and they don’t lay as well; you are absolutely not sleeping in that tree anymore.” Before he could growl his protest she added,”From now on, if you’re here, you’ll be sleeping inside with me.”

Synopsis (ever changing as it evolves): Hunter’s Pride, Jinx 2
His name is Hunter. He travels with men who possess extraordinary abilities they sell to the highest bidder. But when a new railroad line unleashes magic in New Mexico Territory, it brings Hunter not only a new job but also the scent of his rainha.
His twin soul is a healer named Maggie Jenks. The little witch offers to make his cat her familiar but has little interest in claiming his human side.
While Hunter is nursing his hurt pride and contemplating his peculiar mate, his rainha suddenly needs his help. She’s uncovered an evil so great it will take both cat and man to help Maggie keep the devil in hell.
Synopsis: Cat Nip, Jinx 1
They call her Jinx, an unlucky witch with a reputation for casting erratic spells. But there’s more to Maggie Jenks than meets the eye. She’s a vessel of unfulfilled potential, doing her best to sidestep evil as she uses her gifts for good.
Avoiding temptation gets trickier for the little witch who can heal others with her touch. A shap-changing predator has her in his sights, watching her days, protecting her nights, and stalking her dreams.

Great snippet, Gem! He will wear her down, eventually, right?
I guess he knows where he stands now — or lays!

Progress! I like it. 🙂 Why no more snippets. 🙁
Hahahaha! Bet he didn’t expect that. Great snippet, Gem. 🙂
I love the image of him in the tree, chasing off badgers. Sounds like she’s starting to get over her denial though.
That’s an interesting exchange. Sounds like he’s getting exactly what he wants.
