Weekend Writing Warriors
Hi everyone. I’m so glad to be blogging again. I’ve been missing all the fun this summer while I revamped my website. Hope you get a chance to look around while you’re here.
For my first 8 back, I’m sharing a snippet from Outrageous Pride since Book II in my Unlikely Gentlemen series will be out soon. Let me know what you think of Kell’s Irish brogue. The challenge was to alter the way he phrased his thoughts and sprinkle in his Irish expressions and accented words–but not enough to become irritating or beyond understanding. I’m hoping I’ve gotten the balance right.
“Tá tú iontach álainn,” you are very beautiful, Kell muttered in Gaelic when he looked upon the vision of loveliness crouched on the floor.
“What?” she asked, giving him a perplexed stare from eyes as blue as the River Lagan. Instead of accurately translating, Kell squatted in front of her and brushed his fingers across the smudge on her nose.
“A wee speck of dirt has taken up residence here.” He could see the incongruity of his scarred knuckles against her delicate flesh and it surprised him that she didn’t flinch from his big paw. When he removed the streak of dust and unnecessarily dragged the back of his hand across her flushed cheek, nothing had ever felt as exquisite as the silken skin beneath his calloused touch.
Bluidy hell--as Kell savored the look of her moist pink lips, the dimples that indented each rosy cheek, and the tiny creased laugh lines fanning from the corners of her beautiful eyes, his usually quite sensible cock became unruly. And then the miscreant reared its foolish head, unfurled into full stance, and left him shifting from thigh to thigh, trying to disguise his condition.

Moving in…
Welcome to my new web home. I LUV my old site and thought about just giving it a minor facelift. But as I explained what I wanted during a talk with graphics and web designer, Michael at Booknibbles.com, I realized my dilemma.
After furiously producing brain kids for four years, I have so many children I…I…why, I’ve outgrown my shoe. My former carousel had become too small for all my books, and since my titles now include both paranormal and western historical stories, the western header no longer felt quite right.
Shocking as it seems to me, I’m not a newbie in the authoring business any longer and even more astonishing, some of my adventures moved out of the Old West.
Never fear, I’m not leaving my cowboys behind. My sixth Eclipse Heat title, Breed True is in edits right now and Book II in my Unlikely Gentlemen series–Outrageous Pride– will release very soon. But…
…the Harley is revved for action in a third Bitter Creek Holler story, Miz Behavin’ and…
*beaming* …if I can keep my butt parked in the office chair a tad longer this summer, my first contemporary erotic romance (Taboo Frequency) will be out in time for the holidays.
So after I explained all this, I asked Michael if he could turn what I already had into a–non-genre-specific-elegant-professional-user-friendly-showcase for my stories. He poked around a little behind the scenes and then said, “Let’s build instead.” So we did.
What do you think?
