Hi everyone. First let me say that I really appreciate the author and reader support I’ve found among this group. Blood Stoned published on Tuesday and you all really helped me get Maggie and Hunter ready to go. And a special thanks to Siobhan Muir for her formatting tips.
I’ve been trying to catch up with letting people know about the release all week. Promotion is not my forte and lots less interesting to me than writing but… *Ahem* I’ve put a Good Reads link at the bottom of the post. Thanks in advance if you have time to stop by and mark it “To Read.”

“Don’t you ever talk?” I grumbled.
“Not well.” His warm breath brushed against my lips when he pulled my head closer and murmured, “Do you need words?”
He was a big man. Though I lay plastered on top of his body, he could easily overpower me and take what he obviously wanted; a beast might.
I stared into his eyes, trying to judge who controlled Hunter at the moment.
“Beautiful,” he said gruffly. His forehead furrowed as he struggled to find more words to give me.

Maggie Jenks, Witch of the Old West
Congratulations on the birth of your new baby book! :O) TBR’d on GoodReads and pinned to my TBR list (which xposts to FB, I think). You GO, girl!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Love your books! Waiting with baited breath to any and all releases from you. Where do you come up with the characters? Keep up the good work.
Hey Rhonda, I try not to analyze the voices in my head too deeply. Any other profession and most authors would be considered seriously weird or worse– locked up. 🙂
Congratulations! I empathize about the difficulty of self-promotion, though.
Congrats on the new release.
He is so precious. I love the, “Beautiful.” 🙂
“Do you need words.” … Oh wow … love it … congratulations on the release … and pm me if you’d like me to feature your book on my blog. more than happy to!
Thank you for the blog promo offer. I PM’d you. 😀
Awww… he’s trying!
Congrats on the release! (I suck at self-promotion, too, so you’re not alone.)
Kudos on the new release – posted a promo on my Potpourri Parlor blog tomorrow.
Nice hot scene. Well done.
Thanks for the promo assist, Chelle. Pimping the read after it’s written is sooooo hard. I just want to move on and hope the fairies zap Blood Stoned with a magic “buy me” charm. @_@
That’s interesting that he is trying his best for her. I wonder why he doesn’t speak well though. Very mysterious.
Touching snippet, good luck on your new release Gem!
Awesome Gem! May the book gods and fairies smile on your book-child!
A new Gem book! Woot!! 😀
Oh, this couple . . . that second sentence is pure perfection.
Ah, Gem. Who needs words? I like action and you’ve given us plenty.
Re: promo. Writing is easy, promo is way hard when you’re all alone.
Oh, yay! I love your western paranormals!!!
So sweet and hot at the same time. Love these two characters and am looking forward to following their adventures.
Congratulations! Hunter is clearly not a beast!
Great snippet about his struggle, Gem. And you’re more than welcome for the formatting tips. Glad I could help. 🙂
Congratulations!!!!!! Very exciting!!!!! And of course, the snippet is excellent, as always.
Best wishes on the book! Bought it, have it on my kindle TBR list now…excellent excerpt!
Happy Release Day! Congratulations.
Intriguing snippet!
Congrats on the new release! I’ll check it out on Goodreads and be sure to bookmark it to my list.
I love her insight on how “a beast might”. Good snippet.
“Do you need words?” That pretty much says it all right there, doesn’t it? Great scene.
Great snippet as usual. Added it to Good Reads list. Congrats on the release!!
